Palace! Canmore!

Went to 2 of the biggest and most splendid palaces in korea on this outing cheungbokkong and another one. lol can't really rem but i think i put it on the blog somewhere.........i hope lol. anyway it was a trip with may yuanchang christine weiqi and me yeah 2 hkgers and 3sgers. it was a good trip. one of the reasons that we were there in the first place was because we were told that the sakura would be in full bloom in the palace and if anytime was a good time to visit the palaces it would be now.....so off we went and boy we were not disappointed. :) it really was beautiful.

but erm about the sakuras.......its the national flower of japan. so the fact that they were there borne the signs of an ex japanese invasion of korea. in fact the stories behind the palaces mainly involved being burnt by the japanese and being rebuilt by the koreans again and again.....sigh......somehow burning always accompanies wars.....a pity since so much of culture is lost along the way......

well, me and weiqi managed to get ourselves lost during the tour, actually i think our grp lost us...but its a purely academic matter. that accounts for the funny pics i took. lol. its so not me...... haha. i must have changed while in korea......

may and christine decided to go somewhere and not join us for dinner. yuanchang had a soccer match to catch so its just me and weiqi left. ate a 1000won pizza each by the streets. very cheap considering that its a full slice and the standard of living here.....1000 won is about hmmmmmm $1.80 so its cheap even by singapore standards. then we went to my current favourite icecream store, canmore! its a real real cool place, they sorta have garden swings for seats so you can just swing around while eating icecream. cool idea huh. hahahaha real pretty icecream too. u guys can look at the pics and have a rough idea.
