hi everyone!

recently haven really had the time to blog ar.....sorry. well actually i did have the time to blog but erm....was simply too lazy to do it. heh heh. but anyways, let me just give u a brief update of what i have been up too. well don't really have all the the time in the world now. just waiting for my hair to dry up a bit before going to bed so heres the pics just read the captions...... i haven had the time for much else...... :P.

erm this is another day unrelated to the pub pic below. this is actually a noraybang. or korean karaoke room. heh heh. interesting enough i guess. almost the same as singapore. almost...... cept for the fact that the chinese and english songs are rather limited. wish i could sing jap like the girl in front. 

erm got dragged off to a pub somewhere in the middle of the night. thats hee young(weiqi's roommate) and weiqi of course. lots of food and that tall pitcher over there is lemon soju. take in moderation.

went to the hi seoul festival. erm my face is sorta covered by the jet of water. but anyway thats me beside the guy in white who is besidde the girl in yellow. i felt really dumb jumping into the middle of a couple of fountains. really felt stupid while going back on public transport after that. 

erm... had to sneak in a pic of me with the flag. worked hard to get it fom the mbassy after all. 

this is a pic of a booth that we set up during global campus day. tried to introduce about our various universities on that day. ditto about the usefulness though. hahahaha. we really need to do more advertising in the region if we are going to make it as a global university. 

Me in the foreground, north korea in the background. you see the stick like structure in the background? thats north korea's flag. the strctures behind me belongs to one of the north korean cities. don't ask me which. i have totally no idea. 

yup this is me. well where am i now? lets just say that i am in some place between north and south korea the dmz. well actuall i'm within north korea. friends of korean dramas should know this place i guess. this is the JSA more commonly known as the joint sercurity area. the north korea and the UN govern this base like plce. the building in the background is the north korean building. some guy over there is checking us out with binos as we speak...... the buildings on foreground and the soldier there belongs to UN and South korea. one line seperates the 2. nervousy sort of place. the fact that skirmishes have taken place in the past before does nothing to calm one's nerves. 

没国焉能有家

今天有点不高兴。总觉得国家被看轻了。对于一个非新加坡人来说，是不可能了解一个新加坡人的感受。我没怪任何人，但本人最讨厌别人说新加坡不好了。没国焉能有家。我想很多人都不明白一个小国要生活下去有多辛苦。

独立不久，就因为想活在更平等的社会而被逐出联邦。当时，没人帮助我们。英国没有，美国没有，就连中国也没有。四面楚歌的新州没有朋友，就算面临困难也没大哥帮你出头。就算被欺负也只好忍耐，凭着自己的双手，凭着每个人的血汗奋斗下去。所以没人有资格说我们次于任何人，无论是谁都一样。身为新加坡人的我们，为了我们的前辈，为了我们的尊容，为了我们的自尊都有义务保护我们的名声。因为如果不这样的话，就否定了奉献者的高洁情操。那简直是不忠不孝之为，甚至连猪狗都不如。

自己的东西最终得靠自己的双手来保护。
